WCRP and GEWEX, sponsors of the video presentation competition for Early Career Researchers (ECR), would like to thank everyone who entered the contest. The winners are Theodore Letcher of the University at Albany and Joshua Roundy of the University of Kansas. Both submitted videos addressing the water challenges facing Western North America. Each received $500 and has been invited to serve on the Early Career Scientist advisory panel for the new GEWEX North American Regional Hydroclimate Project. You can see Theodore’s video here!
The ECR Video Competition was created to encourage ECR involvement and dialogue with the U.S. RHP Planning Committee, and sought submissions of 15 minute-or-shorter recorded presentations on research related to water issues in Western North America. The full contest description is here.
