Financial support for meetings sponsored by GEWEX
Limited financial assistance in the form of travel support is available to enable and support the attendance of students, early career researchers (ECRs) and scientists from certain developing countries to meetings sponsored by GEWEX.
Assistance will be assigned based on financial need and the applicant’s contribution to the meeting concerned.
Applicants must attend the entire Meeting in order to qualify for the financial assistance.
Priority will first be given to:
Early career researchers
Scientists from certain developing countries
All others
We strongly encourage the applicant to secure a significant proportion of support from national or institutional sources, as the financial support awarded by the International GEWEX Project Office will usually not cover the entire cost of attending the meeting.
The deadline for applying for travel support is one month before the start date of the meeting, unless otherwise indicated by the International GEWEX Project Office.
