We are no longer accepting applications for the Early Career Researcher (ECR) Workshop. Notifications will start going out the week of February 19th.
To have applied for the Early Career Researcher (ECR) Workshop, “Towards Regional Information to Improve our Understanding on Weather, Water, and Climate Extreme Events,” you must be either a student or an Early Career Researcher (a post-graduate or researcher who received their highest degree in 2012 or later). You needed to register for the 2018 GEWEX Science Conference. If you are selected for the workshop, you are expected to attend the conference following the workshop, and must have submit a single abstract suitable for both. There is a nonrefundable 80 CAD charge for each abstract submitted (with a limit of 2 abstracts total), and registration fees for the Conference apply.
The deadline to apply for the workshop has passed.
The application for the Workshop consisted of a series of questions within the “Additional Information” section (step 2) of the Conference registration form.

October 15, 2017: Registration and abstract submission opens
January 15, 2018: Final deadline for abstract submission, travel support requests, and applications for the ECR Workshop
*If we reach our maximum number of registrants before January 15th, the deadline will be that day and not the 15th
Abstract submissions and ECR Workshop applications are no longer being accepted
Starting February 5, 2018: Abstract acceptance notification
Starting the week of February 19, 2018: Travel support and Early Career Workshop acceptance notification
February 28, 2018: Early bird registration closes
